David Paul Leighton is a photographic artist based in Southern California. He has both a BFA and MFA in Photography from Brooks Institute. His art spans many photographic mediums including obsolete digital technology and historical photographic processes as well as straight photography. Leighton is interested in exploring new visual ways of depicting issues related to underrepresented groups, particularly LGBT+ youth. As an artist, activist, and educator, his recent imagery revolves around identity, inclusion, and advocacy.
